Solid wood furniture, made in Singapore.

Nearly three decades at the same workbench.

Soon Kiat Furniture Singapore Pte. Ltd., a furniture manufacturer that has been working out of Woodlands since 1997.

We started as a small workshop building solid wood furniture for Singapore homes. Nearly thirty years later, we’re still in the same industrial park, still making furniture the same way — except the workshop is bigger, the range is wider, and the pieces now reach homes across the island.

Being a manufacturer rather than a reseller changes what we can offer. We control the timber we select, the joinery we use, and the finish that goes on. When something isn’t right, we fix it at the source instead of sending it back to a supplier overseas. And because there’s no importer or middleman between our workshop and your living room, you’re paying for the furniture rather than the supply chain.

Our range covers the pieces a home actually needs — wardrobes, shoe cabinets, dining sets, sofas, nightstands, bookshelves, TV consoles and kitchen cabinetry — in finishes from cherry and natural oak through to walnut, white wash and knotty oak.

The Avant name is new. The workshop behind it isn’t.

Our range is designed around real homes here — HDB flats, condos, and the dimensions they come with. A four-door wardrobe that fits the bedroom wall. A dining table sized for a family of four without swallowing the living room. Shoe cabinets that hold what a household genuinely accumulates.

Every piece comes in finishes chosen to work with the interiors people actually have: Cherry, Natural, Walnut, White Wash, Knotty Oak. Solid wood construction where it counts, engineered materials where they perform better, and no pretending otherwise.

We publish full dimensions for everything we make, because the difference between a piece fitting and not fitting is usually a few centimetres.

We craft furniture that unveils the potential of the spaces individuals already possess, illuminating the life waiting to be lived within them.

Built for Singapore homes.

Furniture designed overseas rarely fits a Singapore flat properly. Wardrobes too deep for the bedroom. Dining tables that leave no room to pull out a chair. Shoe cabinets that don’t clear the corridor.

We design around the spaces we’ve been measuring for close to thirty years. Our wardrobes come in widths that suit HDB and condominium bedrooms. Our dining sets are sized for the room you actually have, from two-seater tables for smaller units up to full family sets. Every piece is published with its exact dimensions, so you know before you buy whether it fits.

The finishes are chosen to work with the way people here decorate  warm cherry and natural tones for classic interiors, walnut and knotty oak for contemporary ones, white wash and grey for lighter, more minimal spaces.

Comfortable to live with, sized to fit, and built to still be standing in fifteen years.
